Welcome—> Teaching Philosophy

Hello! My name is Jaylee Klinger and I am an aspiring elementary school teacher. My extensive experience working with elementary-aged children, teaching athletic skills and coaching hockey has given me a unique perspective on the importance of creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. With a focus on mental health and support for all students, I am committed to delivering excellence in education. My love for learning is infectious, and I strive to inspire my future students to reach their full potential.

About Me

I was born and raised on a farm South of Lashburn, Saskatchewan and attended Lashburn High School up until 9th grade when I transferred to Lloydminster Comprehensive High School where I graduated in 2023. I played sports throughout my entire life but I particularly excelled in hockey. I played 5 years with the Lloydminster Steelers ranging from U15 AA to U18 AAA, as well as for Team Alberta Green in the 2020 Alberta Winter Games. I now attend Lakeland College and coach a U9 girls hockey team out of Hillmond, Saskatchewan.

Reflections on Teaching

A personal learning network is a group of people who agree to help each other learn. They can be beneficial for teachers in the sense of collecting new lesson plans from their peers to create a more diverse and unique way of learning for students. I can use this PNL throughout the semester to inspire me in future labs and assignments within the course.
